Fruit Machine Emptiers

Keep the cancel button down during the reel spin and when it gives nudges it will always give skill nudges. If it does not it has been fixed (rechipped) With skill nudges you should get 4 nudges every time that you shouldn't be getting them. Nudge in your highest win. Gamble on 1-4,9-12. Collect if 5-8. If you can nudge the barcode in, do it. Select the 3rd hold button and stop the number on 12 (six pound). If you have gambled on a win above, exchange for the board, select mario button (repeat chance 99% of the time) and COLLECT the win. Don't move on the board. This gets boring but works. If you get the letters lit, collect the accumulator (like the watertank on its a knockout). You will usually find it is on 40p. When you get choose-a-trail try to keep the letters of DK back. Get as low down as you can as this increases the chances of nudges.

Up to now you understand that you do not make a move onto the board except when you win/gamble/exchange - but then you collect the same amount from the board anyway. This should provide a steady income - about #30 an hour. The fun starts if the machine goes blue. (Sometimes it doesn't go blue but you can tell that it is 'on-one' because of the accumulator (higher than normal). Play the feature and when you get near the top hit the Mario button and you should find you become invincible and you will get the jackpot + repeat chance. There seems to be a bug whereby it will only knock off the 'on-one' status when it fills the DK letters. Everytime you get to exchange on the board you bypass this test and it stays on one. Again try to keep the DK letters at bay especially at this stage as you could get it all over and done with very quickly. When it is on one you can go to the top but I go for the accumulator when it hits super jackpot. Another useful tip is you can often hold the reels if there are good fruits in view. Hold the reels, press start and then hold down the cancel button. Also note when you do this the machine will not nudge if there is a win within one nudge or if one nudge will give you enough numbers to fill the feature trail.

Here is an interesting observation from Barry Edgar. Some players have tried to pursue this method in the hope that it was possible to empty rechipped Donkey Kongs.

'I was playing a rechipped Donkey Kong last night and discovered the repeating super jackpot was NOT fixed - looks like they might have only repaired the skill nudges problem.'

'So if you get invincible mode, the next time you exchange to feature the High Rise will still be at Super Jackpot as long as you don't get to the feature with the letters of course. Granted it's now much much harder to get and is not an emptier any more but I forced it onto wins by holding rubbish like one cherry then two cherries which it eventually let me do 3 times with a number 10 to exchange for the feature, after that it must have been feeling generous 'cause it let me nudge onto 3 single bars with a number 11 Altogether I got 3 Super JPs all with repeats (7 quid, 8 quid, 6 quid) before it forced the DK letters on me.'

SUPERPOTS (MayGay)

Here are the complete instructions for playing SUPER POTS.

The principal behind playing this machine is that the £6.00 win and the feature 'Lucky For Some' are completely free. The trick is knowing how to get to these wins. The first step is to get the machine happy so that it will offer you £4.00+ on the nudges on the right hand side. This can cost up to £20. When it is offering this you must carry on gambling for more nudges until you have a number that will let you gamble to the £6.00 win. When you hit collect you will nudge in £4.00+ on a 1, 3, 8 or 12. This will guarantee you can reach the £6.00 (if you never get one of these numbers then it is probably rechipped). If you are on a 3 or 8 you can exchange the number and hi-lo to the £6.00. If you are on 1 or 12 you can usually get to the feature 'Lucky For Some'. When you go higher than the 1 or lower than the 12 you will get either a 5, 6, or 7. If you get a 6 you must collect but if you get 5 or 7 do the following: Press exchange, swap to feature trail, press exchange again and you now have a 1 or 12. Hi - lo to the feature and collect. Hold down the cancel button and stop the feature on the cash jackpot. Sometimes you will not be able to get £4.00+ on nudges so it is worth collecting a smaller win and seeing if the swaps are lit on £4.00+ and £6.00. If they are you can get to £6.00 if you are on a 5 or 7 when you climb to £4.00+. One of the best ways to get nudges is to hold the treble bar with a 3 on it. This often rolls in and you can use it to get the blue sevens near. The machine does like to give you 1 nudge from these holds. All these wins are free so as you are playing the machine will be getting very happy. You must finish playing the machine by collecting normal wins (£4.00+ for example) and bring it down to a normal level. You can only judge this with experience. The cashpot is also completely free. It will either not repeat or it will repeat 3 times so be careful with the amount of money you have in the bank and what is left in the machine. There are other chip changes but they are not common. The most likely will be that you are not offered a good number when gambling the nudges.

These are the instructions for playing the later rechipped SUPERPOTS.

The SP's that have been fixed with the 2 swap lights out can still be done. This includes the ones in pubs. There is a technique to it though. The £6.00 and £10.00 are still paid for as are cashpots over £4.00. So still chase these on 3 holds and superholds as usual. The technique for more £6.00's - when on nudges, gamble up enough nudges so that you can leave yourself at least 2 bonuses on the winline when the nudges are used eg bonus,4,nothing. Its then down to luck on what the machine gives you off the bonuses but a nudge shot off the first bonus often the machine gives you one less than you need for a #6 win but the next bonus (1 advance) may take you there. On the above combo, with the red sevens 4 short of the win line for example it will often allow you a choose a trail first bonus (choose 7) followed by a respin.Hold them all it thinks you are 1 short of £6.00 but you have the held bonus reel which will advance1 more nudge for the £6.00. Never stop a trail on 8 it will always follow with choose a trail. These are hard work but they can be emptied esp if a handy cashpot drops in at some point.

FAIRGROUND (JPM)

This is a fairly old trick now and you may well find that most machines are now set to 5p play and £4.00 jackpot. The trick is to take the feature called Coconut Shy. The machine spins the dice 6 times and you must get all 6 numbers for the jackpot. The first two are spun for you. When it spins the third time hold down the left hand button on the machine. On the second spin hold down the third button from the left. On the fourth spin hold down the fifth button and on the last spin hold down the seventh. Every time you get this feature you are guaranteed the jackpot. You should find you get another jackpot before the money from the last one has gone back in. The 5p play machines however are difficult to do because the feature is much harder to get.

MONEY MONEY MONEY (MAYGAY)

The principal for playing MMM is similar to Superpots. The £8.00 win and jackpot are both free. Firstly you must get the machine happy enough to gamble up to 5 pounds. This can take anything up to £30.00 to do but usually it is less. On all features you are forced to take, always take the minimum. For example 'Twister' is usually nothing if you hold the collect down immediately. 'Roll even' will come back to an odd number if left to spin from an odd number. The key to the trick is try and get to the £8.00 win. This is done by nudging in the three unboxed treble bars which pay £4.00 and you use this win to try to get 'reel run'. The middle treble bar is the one with the bonus on it so when it rolls in and you can use 'cancel' to select a bonus, take respin and hold the reels you wish to keep until the treble bars are within 8 nudges. Note: The treble bars are about 5 fruits above the cashpots. You will not always get a skill bonus and sometimes the trails get high and the reels will not hold and there is nothing you can do about this. Once you have the bars within 8 nudges select 'stoppa' and stop it on the 'e' of nudge and then gamble the nudges until you are offered the treble bars. Quite often you will see the £5.00 win lit because you can nudge in the blue sevens. Press the cancel button to nudge the reels manually. If at anytime you are offered the £5.00 win you get a 1 or 12 on the nudge hi-lo then collect and gamble to £8.00 (similar to waiting for a 1,3,8 or 12 on Superpots). Once you have nudged in the treble bars you must now try to get the feature 'reel run' by swapping the feature. Sometimes you will lose trying to get it. When you collect this feature hold down the first treble bar immediately and it will spin to the boxed blue seven. The second will be spun in for you and you must reel match the third. This will usually take a couple of attempts before you can hit it every time. If you get a boxed blue 7 on the left reel and you have reel run then let it stop itself, it always comes back to the same fruit. This also works to get the cashpot, which is free. As with the Superpots trick because these wins are free you must remember to bring the machine down when you have taken about half the money out of it. It will quite happily pay up to 4 repeats on a £5.00 win with the repeat light lit! So make sure you leave it playing badly so it fills up again quicker! To tell if it is a rechipped machine press 3-2-1-2-3-1 on the hold buttons, if the middle hold button flashes for about 20 secs then it is likely to be unchipped.

Up Up and Away / Cash Attack (Barcrest)

The main aim of the trick is to get the barcrest man to flash so that you are given nudges. This can be done by either holding two horseshoes 3 times or by getting a hold after nudges with two horseshoes on the winline. Either way you will hear 'The boy's clever' and the barcrest man will flash. The software HAS to give you a win so you will start with 2 or 3 nudges. The key to this trick is to get enough nudges for the jackpot. There are two main sequences of doing this:

1) Nudge the middle reel down until you reach the ? symbol. If you get given 4 nudges then carry on nudging it around so that you leave it 3 nudges above the winline, you will see a treble bar two above the winline. You must now nudge the right hand reel until you reach the last horseshoe before the JP. You will see a 2 on a double bar above the winline. Next you must nudge the left hand reel until you reach the horseshoe before the 3 nudges on the orange. You now have a 3 in the topleft of the reels and a 2 in the top right. You will still have three nudges at this point so bring down the ? symbol which will give you 4 nudges. Keep bringing this reel down until you get to the 3 nudges with JP above the win line. Next nudge the left reel all the way until the JP is on the line. With these 2 nudges you can bring down the right hand reel for the JP.

2) If the ? symbol only gives you 2 or 3 nudges then the setup is slightly different. You must position the reels so that you get a 1 in the top right corner of the reels and 1 in the topleft also. You then nudge the middle reel around until you get 1-3-1 along the top (2 from winline). As you nudge into this position keep pressing start very quickly and more often than not you will be given SELECTOR. Sometimes you get NUDGESTOPPER. You need 6 nudges from here for the JP. Nudge the third reel around until the horseshoe before the JP. Nudge the middle reel until the 3 nudges then the left reel until the JP etc. There are a couple of sequences which will not offer you enough nudges from the start but this does not mean the machine is chipped. The most common of these is where you will get a 3 in the top left and a 2 in the top right. The machine will usually give one nudge here as if it gives any more then you have a quick JP.

The third trick is possibly the most important. It is called the Hi-Lo lock in and very often you can hi-lo to the 99 nudges. When you are given the chance to hi-lo and you do not have any nudges you must firstly try to climb to 4 nudges by going with the odds (higher than a 6 lower than 7) except for the first gamble which you will win anyway if you go higher than 7,8 and 9 or by going lower than 4,5 and 6. You must press the buttons when HI is lit for higher and LO is lit for lower. When you get to 4 nudges you must press the opposite button instantly after the first one. If you are on a 9 for example press the LO button immediatley followed by the HI button. It is like the machine thinks you went high and tries to lose by going lower. When doing this you must go higher than 1,2 and 3 and go lower than 4,5..11,12 On rechipped machines you will find that you are not always given enough nudges for a win even when the barcrest symbol flashes. The hi-lo lockin is more common but often you get given HI-LO CLIMB and you cannot get to 3 nudges you need to keep nudging and the best you can hope for is another flashhold, which often kills you again anyway. The best way to play these is for quick profit. On a full machine your first ten pounds should get you between 20 and 30 and often you get a repeat on the jackpot. If you find when using the above nudge combinations that the last line of horseshoes gives more than 1 nudge then there is a good chance of a jackpot repeat. Leave the machine to decide for itself. When offered a superhold, just press start when you get three horseshoes back on the winline. If you are offered reeltime do the the same thing. Sometimes you will be given STEPPA and annoyingly you cannot get enough nudges to put 3 horseshoes back on the winline so you must leave 2 and hope for another flashhold. Note when you go for flashholds you must not have any two fruits the same on the winline or you will be given the win and not the horseshoes. When you do get wins roll in just gamble them until they lose on the feature board.

Note on the £15 jackpot machines: obviously these are going to be rechipped and the flashing barcrest symbol might as well be non-existent but when it is ready to pay the above techniques are useful for getting a 40+ streak very quickly. It is also possible to get the odd jp from nudges even when it is not streaking.

Monopoly 60

Monopoly 60 (5p play £8 token JP) from johnjackpot@hotmail.com

When the machine is happy to pay out tokens (e.g. is giving good signs like 'Skills', 'Free Parking', 'Skill Nudges', bringing round good reels for 'Nudge Pots', etc.) Refuse to take the token wins, i.e. £5 or JP, as this kills the machine off, but if you keep collecting cash it stays happy. I think it is because the machine has two pots to pay from a token pot and a cash pot, when taking cash it still has to pay tokens but doesn't realize that you can take as much cash as you can.

When given 'Free Parking' aim for 'Water Works', if you miss then collect whatever you hit (even if £1 on 'Nudge Pot') to avoid getting JP. Collect 'Water Works' and select either '10 Nudges' or 'Crazy Reels', if after a while it hasn't offered you one of these features collect £3 or £4, to avoid the feature timing out. When given 'Skill' go for 'Just Visiting' or 'Water Works'. When given 'Skill Nudge' keep your hand on start, this pauses the machine, now you can check how many nudges you need for £3 or £4 make sure you don't hit enough for £5 or £8. If you get '10 Nudges' nudge in 'Uncle Moneybags' and select 'Crazy Reels' (1-3-2). If you get 'Crazy Reels' you should (hopefully) get £3.80 or £4 + repeat chance. If you are unlucky it will do a big stick and bring in £5 or £8. If you get 'Just Visiting' select 'Rock and Roll' (3-1-2) this is a stop n step feature with a superhold afterwards. It is now possible to get 'Uncle Moneybags' off reel 2. This feature has two speeds, when going fast you should still be able to hit 'Uncle Moneybags' as he is yellow and there is also a single yellow bar above him. Be careful not to stop bars on reels 1 and 3 as if you get the single bar on reel 2 you will be awarded the bars win. If £5 rolls in gamble against the odds. It will lose then roll it back in again repeat and the JP will roll in with good chances off hold(s).

Eventually you will get 'Advance To Mayfair', or JP or a £5 off of crazy reels, it will usually kill it off, depending on the percentage of the machine, this determines how quickly it becomes happy again, sometimes only £5 will still keep the machine happy. When on a good percentage I found that they give out plenty of bonuses, which makes it easier to get features. If any of this is unclear, feel free to ask me to explain it clearer. johnjackpot@hotmail.com
