TEMPLE OF TREASURE fruit machine guide

Temple of Treasure is a Barcrest machine which has incorporated many features found on JPM machines. It can streak for very large wins and the current opinion is that there are 2 settings for this machine. The first is ARCADE which can produce streaks up to £120 and the other is PUB which streaks for £45+. It may well be that there is no difference, just the way the machines are played, but it seems at the moment there might be different settings on certain machines. There also seems to be some difference of opinion as to the best way to get a streak. Some think it is better to start with a red TOT feature, others think its best to get a jackpot repeater.

There are 12 features in a 3x4 grid in the middle. When any of them are offered 'red' then they become super and some of these are guaranteed jackpot. The features are laid out below.

METHOD 1: (from MB) Providing the machine is full, play only for the red Temple of Treasure feature. This should start the big streak for 90+ukp. Do not take any features, normal or red, or barcodes and avoid any JP's until you've had the red TOT feature. Be careful as it can force a JP on you, e.g. £12 on a 2, gamble low and it will give you a 1. Sometimes taking a JP will start a small streak for about 38ukp but it will knock back the big one. Once the streak has started it will offer plenty of features (even normal ones pay well when streaking), barcodes (take fruit shooter, 2-1-3, this can pay big), bonus nudge code 2-3-1 for 12 nudges, this should gamble to 99 nudges for JP. A few points of interest: when the machine is dying to pay out a JP but not ready to streak, it will offer red hot warrior. This is virtually a guaranteed JP but do not take it. It will kill the machine stone dead. It will offer this feature frequently but refuse it every time. When true skill is offered frequently from the bonuses on the hi-lo reel it is close to streaking. If it doesn't offer true skill and keeps giving extra jewel, then it is a long way from the streak. Take reel stepper from the horseshoe bonus when true skill. This is the way to fill up the matrix for the JP but will normally only do this when streaking. When it has paid 45ukp or 60ukp from TOT feature it will normally appear to die but after a few pounds back in it will give a JP or barcode and continue paying out to around 90ukp.

METHOD 2: Another way to trigger the streak is to get a jackpot from either the nudge code (above) or by hi-lowing the win up the left hand side. Some players have found this harder to do than others. Sometimes this win will repeat once but no streak will follow. Other times a big streak will be triggered, as JL has pointed out: "One point though, if it gives you 2 jps or a jp then TOT for 30 and starts to play shit dont assume it is dead, I havent quite got the signs sussed enough to say "if its doing this then play on" but even if it is losing on gambles for a while after 45 out it can suddenly offer a red TOT for 45 or 60. After the red TOT you *always* have at least a tenner if not a jp off a red feature next." And with regard to the red features JL also states: "but you shouldnt be taking any of these except mystery match for jp to start the streak UNLESS you've had your red TOT, all that happens is the big streak gets pushed further back."

"I would add in something about getting the matrix full for the first jackpot. Its not worth doing once you think/ know the streak has started as you then want the red TOT, but it can be an easier way to get the first jp. You need at least 3 nudges, look for the horseshoes behind the reel and bring them in if you can and hope you get a chance to fill it up. It will often let you do this when you have only one fruit to get, but then offer selector - dont despair though as it doesnt mean it cant afford the jp, I've had it go selector on several occasions only to give the full matrix next go. Dont bother trying to nudge in the symbols you are short of and hope for a hold as it doesnt happen. If you are using this method you can let it offer 2 or 3 wins and keep shuffling them away before it will either kill you on the gamble or force the cherries on you (from the shuffle)."

ADDAMS FAMILY is a clone of Temple Of Treasure. The key is to force a jackpot from the left hand cash side to trigger a streak. This can cost a lot of money. If this doesn't repeat then you will have to force it again but it should eventually offer the MEGA ADAMS feature. If the jackpot repeats this is a very good sign and you will certainly be offered more mega features if you play on. One thing to watch for is jackpots from lower features. Sometimes you will see the jackpot is above or below the winline, you can take the feature 'meet the neighbours' to get this, it is a superhold. It is not the easiest machine to make steady profit on and the gamble loves to lose on good numbers. While forcing you might also see it give the 3 bats to put you into the ADAMS feature (not mega) which will pay 15 - 30 usually.

THE 0.3 PROGRAM (NEW UPDATE 13/6/01) This chip dumps 45-50ukp far too randomly with very little warning. Climbing it out to the JP can take ages, with several failures at the 10-12ukp mark, and then not trigger a streak. Both times I have had 50 out of it it has come from 3 bats off the first bonus at around the 1-2ukp mark. In other words anyone could fluke it. It subsequently gives IM boards (which it hardly ever did b4) or Mega features. I guess PA has been chipped the same way (I haven't come accross one). This is great news for Joe Public as they may get the elusive JP very easily but there seems very little pattern to it even if the thing is continually giving nudges. Be very wary of this as 80-90 in after losing a 12ukp gamble is unlikely to be uncommon (It's certainly happened to me).

This shows you 3 wins then jumbles them around. Bigger wins when red.	Simply spins in a win, usually small. The win is bigger when red.	Reel roulette Use cancel to select the fruit when red.	Same as Locomotion on Lotta Luck, but with stop/step chance. When red you get repeat chance on red and stop/step chance!

CASH QUEST	MONEY MOUNTAIN	HOT WARRIOR	TEMPLE OF TREASURE
This a multiplier. You will see a win and what you can times it by. Select the highest. Allows you to hold the amount or multiplied figure when red.	Watch the display as the win amount rises and falls. Stop when it gets high! Goes twice when red carrying on from the first attempt.	Psuedo skill knockouts. Select what you think is the highest. Watch for one of the knockouts going slower, it is true skill.	The top feature. Usually £15, but when red can go for £75.

TREASURE HUNTER	MYSTERY MATCH	SECRET PASSAGE	CASH TRAP
This is a 'pick a win' feature. Select what you think will be the highest. Bigger wins offered when red.	This is 'stop & step'. Will probably cheat you on normal. This is an easy jackpot when red. Hit 2 before jp symbol.	This a superhold which steps up and down 2 reel positions. Usually £5 but sometimes jackpot if single bars on winline. More steps when red.	Money belt feature. Add up the wins in the display. Bigger wins offered when red.
